TERRY, our office manager will answer any preliminary questions you might have and schedule you a convenient appointment. Terry will also file all your insurance forms and help you maximize your insurance benefits. She will help you make all the financial arrangements necessary and as a courtesy to you call and remind you of your appointment. We know you are a responsible adult, but sometimes life gets in the way. Terry is sensitive and caring and you will quickly get accustomed to her pleasant voice and lovely personality.

JO-ANN, our hygienist, is gentle and compassionate. She will help you relax while she thoroughly cleans your teeth, evaluates your gums, and guides you through homecare and preventive maintenance. At each cleaning appointment she will address your concerns and present her findings to Dr. Tacvorian for further examination. Patients from toddlers to seniors benefit from her many years of experience, knowledge and unequaled empathy.

MARIA is our dental assistant. It is very rare to have a dental assistant that is also a dentist. Maria was a dentist in Bulgaria where she practiced for over 20 years. Four years ago she moved to America but decided not to take her dental license to practice dentistry in the U.S. Instead, she got certified as a dental assistant and she considers it the perfect job. She brings a lot of care, skill, and understanding to our patients.

DR. SONA TACVORIAN is an educator as well as a practitioner. Sona is a part-time Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Restorative Dentistry at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. She enjoys teaching dental students and sharing her knowledge as much as treating her patients. She has been in practice for 19 years and feels there is nothing more rewarding than a patients smile at the end of a treatment. Her warmth and compassion as well as her expert skills endear her to her patients.

Dr. Tacvorian was born in Bucharest, Romania and holds a doctorate degree from the Institute of Medicine and Stomatology in Bucharest as well as a doctorate degree, DMD from Boston University Goldman School of Graduate Dentistry.

Dr. Tacvorian is a member of the American Dental Association (ADA), the Massachusetts Dental Society, the Massachusetts Association of Women Dentists, the American Academy of Osseointegration (AO), and the Armenian American Dental Association. She is active in these associations and volunteers her dental services in the Give Kids A Smile Campaign that provides dental treatment free of charge to economically challenged children.
